| Day 4 | Johannesburg | After breakfast drive to the south of Johannesburg to visit the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for girls. Continue to the Apartheid Museum. Learn about the conditions that existed in South Africa before the turn of the century in pre-democratic South Africa. Relive the tales of Apartheid captured within the walls of this museum. This informative experience will leave the visitor in awe of the transformation of a truly diverse nation. Return to the Rosebank Hotel. | Day 5 | Lesedi | After a leisurely breakfast embark on a tour of the Lesedi Cultural Village experiencing various cultural performances and lunch. Lesedi is a Multi-cultural African Village set amongst the pristine Bushveld and Rock Hills. After lunch depart Lesedi for a visit to the Lion and Rhino Park situated in the Cradle of Humankind. | Day 8 | Cape Town | The first part of the day will be spent on Table Mountain- a cable car will take you to the 1086m-mountain top towering over Cape Town. On your descent continue on a scenic city tour passing the Houses of Parliament, City Hall, Castle and the Slave Lodge. Pass through the Bo-Kaap, Green Market Square and District Six. After lunch (own expense) board the ferry to Robben Island the former political prison [weather permitting] where Nelson Mandela spent 27 years of his life. Dinner at Baia Seafood Restaurant. | Day 9 | Cape Town | Depart on a Cape Winelands tour through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads. Visit Paarl and the Nelson's Creek cellar for a tour and wine tasting. Cheese and wine tasting at Rust en Vrede. Visit Franschoek where the French Huguenots settled in the 1600's. Travel over the Helshoogte mountain pass. | Day 10 | Victoria Falls | Early morning transfer to the airport for flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Arrive at Victoria Falls Airport, meet and greet with your road transfer to the hotel in Victoria Falls. This evening experience a show of traditional music and dance at the African Boma. On arrival you will take your place beside a large open fireplace and the drums start beating out a slow, hypnotic, ancient, rhythm. overnight at the Ilala Lodge. | Day 11 | Victoria Falls | This morning you will depart to the entrance of the Falls for a 2 hour- guided walking tour of one of nature's supreme masterpieces, the Victoria Falls. You will be given an insight into how this 150-million-year-old phenomenon was created and have the opportunity to take in its awesome, un-spoilt grandeur, which defies description. After the tour of the falls proceed to a guided tour of the African Village. This unique African Village depicts the traditional way of life of Zimbabwe's six main ethnic groups. The art of beadwork and crocheting is displayed by the women whilst the men demonstrate their woodworking skills.
